Hello again everyone,

 well ,  my link is  http://people.ysu.edu/~ramarkowitz/WebQuest/index.html the name of the link is Movie Advertising Webquest, WRITING, Grade 8, the use of the link is that students can be able to   work cooperatively to prepare a persuasive paper that can be used in commercials and magazine articles telling the public why they should watch my movie.

         Advantages and Disadvantages of a webquest

REFLEXION
 let me tell you that this week I have been reading a  lot about webquests and I always find interesting in the readings in ths case I read that using webquests in the classroom does have many advantages for student learning, however it can also be a challenge for teachers in terms of the technological skills teacher’s posses and feel confident in using as well as the actual planning of a webquest.
Also webquests can facilitate students’ skills in reading and understanding all the endless amounts of  information presented to them on the internet.
However, there are some  disadvantages to using the webquest design for students.  For example learners may not want to work on WebQuests and do the tasks required if they do not like the scenario or the topics or they find the tasks difficult, therefore I think that it can be a problem for teachers and students, as we can know on internet we can find many pages where they can be  distracted by others websites.
Well I think that as a future teacher  I should encourage my students to work more with this webquest because trough this, they will learn to be more organized with their homework and research.

Well I am going to continue with my opinion about webquest,
 Let me tell you that I found a good video about webquest, please mates if you want to  know more about this, you can check it.
For me is a good video because in this video I understood what is the principal function of a webquest also I found some information about how to create a webquest:

Creating WebQuests

Technologically, creating a WebQuest can be very simple. As long as you can create a document with hyperlinks, you can create a WebQuest. That means that a WebQuest can be created in Word, Powerpoint, and even Excel! If you're going to call it a WebQuest, though, be sure that it has all the critical attributes.
A real WebQuest....

• is wrapped around a doable and interesting task that is ideally a scaled down version of things that adults do as citizens or workers.

• requires higher level thinking, not simply summarizing. This includes synthesis, analysis, problem-solving, creativity and judgment.

• makes good use of the web. A WebQuest that isn't based on real resources from the web is probably just a traditional lesson in disguise. (Of course, books and other media can be used within a WebQuest, but if the web isn't at the heart of the lesson, it's not a WebQuest.)

• isn't a research report or a step-by-step science or math procedure. Having learners simply distilling web sites and making a presentation about them isn't enough.

• isn't just a series of web-based experiences. Having learners go look at this page, then go play this game, then go here and turn your name into hieroglyphs doesn't require higher level thinking skills and so, by definition, isn't a WebQuest.

Let me tell you that I have been reading and searching information about Web quest, and I found that Webquest is an assignment which asks students to use the World Wide Web to learn about and/or synthesize their knowledge a specific topic, also are designed to use learners' time well, to focus on using information rather than looking for it.

WebQuests provide students with the opportunity to work independently or in small group activities that incorporate research, problem solving, and application of basic skills.

The following six components are essential for implementing Web Quests in the classroom

 Introduction:

      The first component provides the learner with background on the WebQuest activity to be completed. It is important that the WebQuest be related to student interests, ideas, or past experiences.

Task: 

            The second component describes what the learners will have accomplished       at the end of the WebQuest.

Process

During the third component, the teacher suggests the steps the learners should go through in completing the task.

Resources

The fourth component consists of a list of resources, provided by the teacher, that will assist the learner in accomplishing the task.

Evaluation

The fifth component uses a rubric, an established set of rules or guidelines, for evaluating students’ work. It is important that the standards be clear, consistent, and specific.

Conclusion

During the final component, students are provided with the opportunity for reflection and summation about the experience. Students should be encouraged to reflect about the process, to extend, and generalize what was learned

well in my opinion werbquest is a tool very important that has influence in how teachers and students can be organize information to search in internet

Let me tell you that this week I had to read a lot   about rubrics and alternatives assessment, therefore  at the beginning  it was difficult for me comprehend them because I didn't have any  idea what was rubrics , then I had to ask opinions of my mates and also I had to consult and read more about rubrics.well, after all, I can say that rubrics and alternative  assessment have a principal objective,  in this case get students to become more autonomous learners, trough applying methods  where they   have the oportunity to develop their skills and see if  they are able to do many things with their abilities.
As a future teacher , I have to take into account that not all the students are  able to use your own knowledge and develop it, therefore is important give them helps, in this case rubrics are excellents tools that can help us to evaluate the student's learning, and really  trough this I can get successfully results  and see if my learners are learning or not.

well, let me tell you that this week I had to read a lot , but I always find interesting and important websites that are  very interesting and fun for me  wich I consider that can be useful to  work it with my future  learners.

 I  checked  each website and I found that each one  includes their own activities or strategies to work with the 4 abilities of english, in this  case the websites that I have checked has  been about  "reading and writing".

Now I know that  internet  has had a great impact in our lives , especially in the education,   wich it  has offered us many tools and techniques to work in online to increase our skills  .
well according to reading  using e-mail and sharing files, students have the chance to collaborate and work together with other classmates, peers, and teachers about "reading". it  is a great opportunity  to Increase our habit by the reading.
 
In general I liked all the websites that i ahcve checked ,  each one is diferent and now depend of us practice iand  create a different class in the future with these websites.

Well,  let me tell you  the page that I like the most is lauri's ESL website, wich the URL is

I have explored it and  I found that is suitable for students of the 1 level to 4th.But I think that also can be used  for any student because is a free website and is available for all.

Really for me, is a good website because includes many tools and  activities, that allow us,  as  students and future teachers,to  practice and improve our skills , therefore I will suggest to my future learners work in it.
This website will be useful  to students because trough it, they  will find most  interesting and practical all  activities.
the website is well-organized, you can enter and choose the activitie that you want to work , is  very creative and fun therefore the learners can not get bored.

In conclusion I can say that internet is a  tool very impotant wich trough this  is posible improve our 4 abilities of english!!

REFLECTION ABOUT THIS WEEK

 Well, let me tell you, that this week has been very hard  for me, because I had to read a lot, however I found   good information about the advantages of a correct pronunciation.
 Also I read that for many teachers and students listening has not been taken in account like a important abilitie, well as said in nicenet , listening, speaking,reading and writing are ver important to teach and practice it, because without these, we can not develop our english.
  Really all the readings are about how to develop our skills in  english and how we can teach trough lesson plans to our future learners!!

Altought this week was hard  for me, let me tell you that was very useful because thank's to many websites I found variety tools that allow me work it in the future with my future teachers.

Let me tell you that this week I  have been working with bookmarking (delicious),  at the begining I din't know how to use deliciuos page but this week I have been exploring more and I found interesting tools that are helpful for us,  also I found that we can do many things in it , one of them is that we can save some links that are important and useful for us, for example in my delicious page I created  stacks that allow me organize my links and if  I want I can share with my classmates, teacher or anyone.

In my personal opinion I like  the website, really is very interesting, fun and helpful. As student and as a future teacher, I would like to work with my learners  with   deliciuos page.
really delicious has a variety of advantages and the most importnat for me is that allow us organize our favorite links . As I said in nicenet this website for me is useful because in urgent moment can be helpful, for example (if we have to do homework, do essays or prepare a class, etc. this website (delicious) can be easy way to find specific and educative links that can help us to do educative works.
 Also I know that has its disadvantages but I think that depend of us that we give it.

Well, I want to share my opinion about bookmarking, really is a useful, interesting and good way to work in ti, it is easier to administrer, for example I joined to  DELICIOUS and I have  reading and  exploring all week about delicious and I found that we can  organize our links, it let us find easier any link that we need the tag's name, therefore I think that the principal characteristic of the delicious is that the information that we save in it can be shared with our mates and teachers and they are benefited with this information.
On the other hand, let me tell you that I am happy   because trough this subject (Tecnologia Educativa) I have learned much, it  has been really interesting and helpful for me.

Hello Miss Antonio and classmates,
I want to share you that this week I have learned much about web searching. For example, I explored different websites where I found differents ways to comunicate that we can use in a classroom.
I liked very much this website http://www.isabelperez.com/ because I found many fun tools that it can be useful for us in the future in a classroom.

Also, I have learned that Google, Wikipedia, Altavista are not the uniques that it can give us good information, therefore we can use others websites that give us good information that includes interesting and fun tools.

ABCD method

I have to tell you that this week I have learned many things for example: how to write specific objectives. for me is very useful because trough this method,  I  can organize a good lesson plan.
This method includes four steps very importans in wich we can analize to our students
Audience, Behavior, Condition, Degrede.

 In this class i have learned many things, for example how to use an academic web and not be afraid to use it, also i learned that we can express our opinions and sharing different topics to learn a second language. i consider that this is a good option to make more interesting a class.
